Operationalizing Afijio: The Launch of the Cluster 100 Enterprise Program
Published: March 1o, 2026 | Author: Rebecca Amoo
Theory met practice this week in Afijio LGA as the Africa Wealth Initiative (AWI) officially activated the first phase of the Cluster 100 project. Over 50 pioneer participants, divided into 5 strategic clusters, gathered for an intensive Enterprise Development Workshop designed to transform traditional farmers into professional agribusiness trainers.
The inaugural cohort of the Afijio Cluster 100 gathering for enterprise formation.

From Subsistence to Institutionalization
The core of the "Gold Global Standard" is structure. Before the first bee-hive is placed, the enterprise must exist as a legal and operational entity. During this workshop, participants were led through the rigorous process of Enterprise Formation—moving beyond individual effort to collective power.
The Workshop Output: Names, Constitutions, and Structures
In a single day of focused collaboration, the 5 clusters achieved what many informal businesses struggle to do in years. The participants successfully developed:
- Enterprise Identity: Formalizing their cluster names for institutional recognition.
- Constitutional Frameworks: Drafting the internal rules and governance structures.
- Management Hierarchies: Defining roles that ensure every member contributes to the Wealth Engine.
The Road Ahead: Building Beekeeping Trainers
These 50+ individuals are the "Master Keys" for Afijio. Having established their business foundations, they will now proceed to technical training in advanced beekeeping.
The transformation of Afijio has begun. We are no longer just farming; we are building an industry.
